John Lippincott, MD

Vitreoretinal Surgery & Retina Specialist

My passion for my field, vitreoretinal medicine and surgery, is driven in part by the intricacy and frank beauty of ocular anatomy and physiology. Ophthalmic examination and imaging techniques are nothing short of wonders of the modern world in their ability to demonstrate ocular pathology non-invasively in microscopic detail. The intellectual challenge of complex diagnoses and the demands of subtle dexterity by vitreoretinal surgery drew me to the field in medical school. The true privilege of employing cutting-edge surgical techniques and the ever-expanding pharmacopeia in the field of retina is that it allows us to do whatever is possible to help people maintain perhaps their most meaningful physical connection to the world around them--their vision.
